WHEELER Ethel Ruth Wheeler, age 95, of Stratford died peacefully on Monday, October 16, 2006 at Southport Manor. Born in Bridgeport on June 2, 1911, Ethel was a Stratford resident for 85 years and was a retired bookkeeper with the Raybestos Manhattan Company of Stratford. She was a member of the Stratford United Methodist Church for 81 years. She sang in the church choir for 20 years and was a member of the Wesleyan Service Guild at the church. She was also a member of the Stratford Grange. She is survived by her first cousins, Jean Chandler McBride of Stratford, Marjorie Chandler McKenzie and husband, Rod, of Milford; nieces, Marcia Wheeler Flynn and husband, Raymond, of Wisconsin, Deborah Wheeler Logan and husband, Joseph, of Trumbull; nephews, Roger OPDonnell and his wife, Patricia, of Stratford and Raymond OPDonnell of Stratford; and several great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Harry E. Wheeler Sr. and mother, Lillian Weller Wheeler of Stratford; her sister, Lillian Wheeler OPDonnell and her husband, Matthew, of Stratford; and her brother, Harry E. Wheeler Jr. and his wife, Rosalie Ferensak Wheeler, of Trumbull. Friends are invited to attend graveside services on Thursday, October 19, 2006 at 11 a.m. in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport with the Rev. Fred O.
