SPARTANBURG, SC-- Ethel Mary Underwood Overcash -->Ethel DavisSPARTANBURG, SC-- Ethel Mary Underwood Overcash Davis, 82, of 2972 Chesnee Highway, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 3, 2007 at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.Born in Rutherford County, NC she was the widow of the late Ralph Overcash, Sr. and the late Buford Davis and the daughter of the late Zeno Underwood and Leah Ridings Underwood. She was retired from John H. Montgomery in Chesnee and a member of Hicks Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. Davis also attended Cherokee Springs Baptist Church.She is survived by two sons, Ralph Overcash Jr. and wife, Kathy of Chesnee and Roy Overcash, also of Chesnee; two daughters, Mary Gibson of Lexington, Kentucky and Rita Richards and husband, Michael of Spartanburg; four sisters, Eunice Gossett, Lavada Morgan, Betty Cash and Mary Brown, all of Spartanburg; two brothers, George Underwood of Spartanburg and Glenn Underwood of Mayo; nine grandchildren, Teresa Willis, Benjie Overcash, Leisa Cantrell, Kevin Overcash, Darren Overcash, Paige Richards, Mark Gibson, Steven Gibson and Dana Gibson; and eight great-grandchildren, Bryson Willis, Brittni Overcash, Katie Quinn, Cori Quinn, Griffith Cantrell, Caleb Overcash, Jason Overcash and Spencer Gibson. Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by a son, Ray Overcash and a sister, Leah Cash.The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, November 6, 2007 at Blakely Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at Cherokee Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Lark officiating.
