Ethel M. Hayes Williams Ethel M. Hayes Williams, 68, a homemaker, died Friday, Sept. 2, 2005. She is survived by her husband, Jessie Williams. The service will be at noon EDT Saturday at Mount Zion Primitive Baptist Church at Dawkins Pond, with burial at Dawkins Pond Cemetery. Strong & Jones Funeral Home (850-224-2139) is handling arrangements.She was a lifelong resident of Tallahassee. She was a member of China Hill Primitive Baptist Church and a former member of Mount Zion Primitive Baptist Church. She was also a member of Floyd Chapel Pallbearer Lodge. Survivors include four sons, Timothy Hayes (and wife Bessie), Bruce Sampson (and wife Ora), Barron Sampson and Karey Murphy, all of Tallahassee; four daughters, Linda B. Smith (and husband Wilbur), Sheila Butler (and husband John) and Cassandra Sampson (and husband Anthony), all of Tallahassee, and Altovise Hall (and husband Courtney) of Hawaii; six brothers, L.J. Hayes (and wife Clara), Charlie Hayes Jr., Herman Hayes (and wife Joretha) and Otis Hayes, all of Tallahassee, Willie C. Hayes of Bartow and Samuel L. Hayes of Miami; seven sisters, Rutha L Bryant, Dorothy Mas Hayes Bryant, Cynthia Norris (and husband Ted), Brenda Hayes, Elouise Dickey (and husband Eddie) and Margaret Knight, all of Tallahassee, and Deaconess Ollie Mae Hayes Walthall (and husband Hubert) of Hartford, Conn.; 16 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; five godchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.She was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Tommy.
