<!-- DisplayFullObituaryText -->Ethel Mae Mosley Davis, age 92 years, was born April 2, 1921 in Walker Springs, Alabama. She transitioned from this earthly life on Tuesday, March 11, 2014. Ethel Mae was preceded in death by her parents, Theis and Martha "Mattie" Mosley, her loving Husband of 36 years, Frank L. Davis, Sr., only son, Frank L. Davis, Jr. (Lil Frank) and brothers, Cleafer "C.L.", Melvin, Woodrow, Connie G., Clarence and John David Mosley. Committed to Christ at an early age, Ethel Mae started at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Walker Springs, Alabama. A life-long, faithful, and dedicated member of the St. James Missionary Baptist Church (Mobile)--Ethel Mae served God by praising him as member of the vocal choir "Notes"/Music Ministry, through the teaching of Sunday School and by working with the Missionary Society until her illness. Recently, Ethel Mae united with the Mount Calvary Baptist Church under the pastoral care of Minister/Pastor Norvel Glover. Ethel Mae worked at various hospitals in Mobile. In June of 1965, she began her career as a Nursing Assistant/Aide in Pediatrics at Providence Hospital, retiring in 1981. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, a beloved Daughter Gwendolyn (Leslie) Walker; devoted granddaughters, Cherise (LaVal) Tunstall and Lesley Denise Walker; one grandson, Demetrius (Tammy) Mason; nine great-grandchildren; nine great-great grandchildren; a sister, Helen Hannon and daughter-in-law, Earnestina "Tina" Davis; a host of other relatives and adoring friends. Her remains will lie in state Friday, March 14, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Small's Mortuary, Mobile, AL. Visitation will be on Saturday, March 15, 2014, beginning at 9:00 a.m. The family will receive friends at 10:30 a.m. until the funeral at 11:00 a.m. Services will be held at Mount Calvary, 505 North Price Avenue, Mobile, AL.
