AUGUSTA, Ga. - Entered into rest Sunday, February 26, 2006 at Augusta Hills, Mrs. Essie Mae Jones of Augusta. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. Mrs. Jones, a native of Burke County, was a member of McElmurray Spring Branch Baptist Church, McBean, Ga. She is survived by two daughters, Bertha Evans, Bronx, N.Y. and Brenda (Charles) Scott, Lawrenceville, Ga.; a devoted sister, Beatrice Oliver, Augusta; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
