SAXTONS RIVER -- Emma B. Morrison, 93, died at her home on Monday, April 25, 2005, following a very full life.She was born on Jan. 22, 1914, in St. Augustine, Fla., to the late Grace and Robert Furman. Her family moved to New York state when she was very young. Her schooling was in both Rochester, N.Y., and Albany, N.Y. In 1933, she married her husband of 63 years, the late Kenneth Morrison. They then moved to Bellows Falls in the depths of the Great Depression and to Saxtons River after World War II.Mrs. Morrison was a very active member of Christ's Church in Saxtons River. She was a member of the Women's Fellowship of Christ's Church and Church Women United. Among her activities at church were chicken pie dinners, Christmas bazaars and Bible studies.She was a member of the Women's Club of Bellows Falls and Nature Club in Saxtons River. While her children were growing up, she was active in the Saxtons River PTA as well being a Cub Scout den mother. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Alpha Chapter #53 and held many positions, including the office of Worthy Matron, and was a member of the Past Matron's Association.She had many hobbies and interests including painting, gardening, rug hooking, and knitting. She always enjoyed visits from her family.She is survived by her son and his wife, Lyle and Sandra of Grafton; her daughter, Joan Farrell of Mt. Airy, Md.; her son and his wife Alan and Sherry of Bridgeton, Maine; and eight grandchildren, Rebecca Clark of Albany, New Zealand, David Morrison of Prescott Valley, Ariz., Sarah Levitt of Chandler, Ariz., Alison Cox of Brunswick, Md., Emily Dyson of Mt. Airy, Peter Morrison of Sanford, Maine, Deborah Nodine of Central, S.C., and Andrew Morrison of Lyman, Maine, and 14 great-grandchildren.There will be no calling hours.A memorial service will be held at Christ's Church in Saxtons River on Saturday at 11 a.m.In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Christ's Church in Saxtons River.u
