Emma Grace Holman, 96, Brownstown, passed away at 2 a.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2011, at her home.Mrs. Holman was a member of Reddington Christian Church. She enjoyed working in her garden, farm animals, cooking and crocheting. She also loved spending time with her family and friends.Born March 8, 1915, in Jennings County, she was the daughter of Alvin and Birdie Stout Spall, both of whom preceded her in death. On May 19, 1930, she married Ed Holman, who preceded her in death on Sept. 25, 1979.Survivors include one stepson, Guy Holman; nine children, Mary Weaver, Ellen Nicholson, Elmer Holman, Norma Jean Fish, Betty Beach, Raymond Holman, Robert Holman, Roger Holman and Roberta Sue Boling; 19 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her brothers, Hollis Spall, Harsh Spall and Mendice Spall; one sister, Jessie Large; stepson, Ivan Holman; and stepdaughter, Pearl Spall.Brother Bill Weaver will conduct funeral services at 10 a.m. Saturday at Winklepleck-Weesner Funeral Home, Brownstown. Burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery, Brownstown.Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.Memorial donations may be made to the family to help with expenses.www.w-wfuneralhome.biz
