DAVIS, EMILY Emily went home to be with the Lord on September 25, 2012. Emily graduated from Moody High School in 2003. She attended UAB and worked at UAB Hospital. She loved and attended Cedar Grove Baptist Church. Emily was the cherished daughter of Frankie and Karen Davis and beloved mother of Katie. Emily loved and was dearly loved by her family and co-workers. Our loss is heaven's gain. A celebration of Life service will be held Saturday, September 29, 2012 at 2:00PM at Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Leeds. The family will receive visitors in the meeting hall of the church after the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Lovelady Center, 7916 2nd Avenue South. Birmingham, AL 35206-3804, an organization designed to restore hope and rebuild the lives of mothers and children in distress which was Emily's career goal and her heart's desire.
