Elsie K. Peterson Elsie K. Peterson, 91, a retired admissions clerk at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital, died Saturday, Sept. 6, 2003. The service will be at 10 a.m. EDT Wednesday at Saint Paul's United Methodist Church on North Meridian Road at Tharpe Street. Burial will follow at 3 p.m. EDT Wednesday at Arlington Memorial Park in Jacksonville.Family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. EDT today at Bevis Funeral Home (385-2193). Memorial contributions may be made to Lighthouse Children's Home, 7771 Mahan Drive, Tallahassee, FL 32309. She was born Elsie Kramer on Aug. 25, 1912, in Mars, Pa., and married Williard E. Peterson and moved to Jacksonville in 1938.She had been a resident of Tallahassee since 1971. A loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she was a daughter of the covenant. She loved the Lord and served him well through her faithful attendance and service at Saint Paul's United Methodist Church. She was a past-president of the UMW and served on numerous committees and as a circle chairman for many years.She also worked as a volunteer in the church office and served as a "Pink Lady" at Tallahassee Community Hospital for many years. She retired from TMH in 1979. Survivors include a son, Jim Peterson (and wife Margie) of Oceanside, Calif.; a daughter, Kathy Cox (and husband Bill) of Tallahassee; four brothers, Glen Kramer of Scottsville, N.Y., Jim Kramer of Mars, Pa., Wib Kramer of Valencia, Pa., and Clyde Kramer of Lebonia, N.Y.; a sister, Myrtle Werlink of Renton, Wash.; nine grandchildren, Robert Jackson of Crawfordville, Stephen Jackson of Tallahassee, Robert Peterson of St. Augustine, Rusty Welch of Deltona, Christine Peterson of Maryville, Wash., Kimberly Peterson and Carrie Peterson, both of St. Augustine, Lori Simmers of Orange Park and Terry Cullen of Jacksonville; 14 great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Diane Peterson of Tampa.She was preceded in death by her husband, Williard; a daughter, Shirley; two sons, Bob and Bill; and two grandchildren, Jeff Peterson and Michael Peterson.
