JOHNSON, ELSIE RUTH (nee KEITH) AEBERSOLD, 92, formerly of Louisville, died in Modesto, CA, on Tuesday, April 4, 2006. She was a Baptist by faith. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Johnnie Aebersold and Hugo Johnson; brother, J.B. Keith; sisters, Virginia Keith, Shirley Mercer and Nina Rose Trent; daughter, Sandra Sue Aebersold; one great-grandson and one great-granddaughter; and three son-in-laws. Survivors include sons, Paul and Lonnie Aebersold; daughters, Jo Ann Dowdell, Wanda Ruth Sadler and Barbara Aebersold; three brothers; three sisters; 18 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.; a sister-in-law, Gladys Watts; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Special "thank you" to her granddaughter and her care giver, Laura Strickland. Services will be at noon on Saturday at the Hardy Valley Chapel, with burial in Bethany Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
