HomemakerFORT MEADE -- Mrs. Eloise Smith of Fort Meade died of lung failure Monday (Sept. 11, 2006) at home. She was 77.Born in Brewster on Jan. 29, 1929, she was a lifelong resident. She was a homemaker. She was a Baptist.Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, Red Smith. She is survived by her daughter, Sandy Mincey, Fort Meade; sons, Eddie R. Smith Jr., David F. Smith, Cheyenne, Wyo.; sister, Barbara Mott, Fort Meade; brothers, John Albritton, Lawrenceburg, Tenn., Clyde Albritton, Danny Albritton, both of Crystal River, Pete Albritton, Arcadia; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at McLean Funeral Home, 306 E. Broadway, Fort Meade. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at First United Methodist of Fort Meade, 135 Broadway, Fort Meade. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Fort Meade. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, 105 Arneson Ave., Auburndale, FL 33823.
