July 14, 2007 Ellen L. Lambert, 91, of Hendersonville, NC, died Saturday, July 14, 2007, at Carolina Village Health Center following an extended period of declining health. She was born in Fernwood, NY, a daughter of the late Napoleon P. LeBeau and Ellen Gilbert LeBeau and had also resided in Fayetteville, Syracuse and McConnellsville, NY, prior to moving to Hendersonville 27 years ago. She is a former member of the Hendersonville Country Club, was an avid bridge player and a member of St. James Episcopal Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William B. Lambert, in 1998. She is survived by her son, William B. Lambert Jr. of Hendersonville; two granddaughters, Barbara Briggs of Atlanta, GA, and Laura Lambert of London, England; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service to be held at a later date will be announced by the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Four Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care, 571 South Allen Rd., Flat Rock, NC 28731 or to the donor's local hospice.
