ELLEN HUGGINS MORRIS1939 - 2013Ellen Huggins Morris, 73, long-time resident of Pensacola, passed away peacefully on February 22, 2013.She was born August 26, 1939 in Conway, SC, to James and Lottie Huggins. She graduated from Aynor High School in 1957.She was preceded in death by her brother Johnny Huggins, and her former husband, Robert Morris. She is survived by her children, Cheri and Baron Morris; sister, Wilma Hydrick; brother, Carnell Huggins; granddaughter, Amber Morris; grandsons, John and James Faist (and their guardian Terry Kranefuss); great grandson, Lucian Morris; and her dear friend, Irene Foster.She worked at Southern Bell as an engineering clerk for 27 years, which she greatly enjoyed until disabled by a stroke in 1999. She fought bravely to recover most of her abilities and was proud to remain capable until her recent final stroke. She was a truly wonderful cook, always putting great love into nourishing her family, and she loved to garden, especially flowers. She did word puzzles every morning with her coffee to keep herself sharp, and she drew strength from reading scripture. She endured much, but complained little. Her amazing strength shall remain an inspiration to all who knew her. She gave her all. Visitation will be held on Wednesday February 27, from 5-7 pm at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel, with funeral services to follow on Thursday February 28 at 10 am. All are welcome.
