Ella Mae Smith, 84, of Montclair, N.J., passed on Jan. 1, 2013. Visitation will be Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, from 11 a.m. to 12 noon with the funeral service at 12 noon in St. Mark's United Methodist Church, 51 Elm St., Montclair, N.J. Arrangements are by the Martin's Home for Service Inc., 48 Elm St., Montclair, N.J. Mrs. Smith was a nurse with Mountainside Hospital until retirement. She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Olivia Constance (Connie) Smith and Gail Elise Smith-Howard; three grandchildren, Elise Jalaal Smith-Felton, (Jason), Ella Ja'far Smith and Daniyyel L. Howard; one sister, Thelma Louise Hall, and a host of other relatives and friends.
