VERNON -- Largely attended graveside services for Ella Mae Moore were conducted Thursday, May 4, in North Cemetery in Vernon.Officiating was Pastor Arthur Miller of the Mountain View Seventh-day Adventist Church, who opened the service with words of welcome and opening prayer, followed by scripture readings from Romans 8 and selected verses from Revelation, followed by the reading of a poem.Pastor Miller spoke of Mrs. Moore as a kind, gentle and giving person who dearly loved her family, as well as nature and animals.A special reading included the poem, “Mom” written by Rodney Moore, a son, read by Pastor Miller. A second poem, titled, “Memories are Beautiful,” written by Dairrell Miller, a grandnephew, was read by Hope Belair.The service concluded with the benediction and closing prayer, both offered by Pastor Miller.Serving as pallbearers were; Donald Moore and Rodney Moore, both sons, Ryan Moore, a grandson, Todd Fecto, a nephew, and Clifford Nicholas and Scott Coy, both close friends of the Moore family.Of the many attending the services, delegations present included representatives from the Vernon town offices and the Windham Southeast Supervisory Union, as well as many friends and neighbors.A reception followed the services held at the Moore family home on Fairman Road.Mrs. Moore, 68, of Vernon, died Feb. 18, 2006, at her home.Arrangements were under the direction of ATAMANIUK FUNERAL HOME.u
