UntitledELIZABETH (BURMA D) WILSON1924-2009Elizabeth (Burma D) raised her three children after the early death of their father Chesley Wilson.Working as a hairdresser, she provided a loving home for them. She later married and settled into married life again. Elizabeth died at home Monday, April 20, 2009 after a prolonged battle with COPD. She is survived by her husband Gary D. Bowling; three children; Linda Farrior, Laura Faye Nicholson and Jack Wilson. Two sisters, Joann Coloume and Millie Mathis: 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.She was born July 12, 1924 in Vernon, Alabama. Most of her life was lived in Pensacola. Elizabeth was 84 years old.Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Thursday, April 23, 2009 at Oak Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Friday, April 24, 2009 at 10:30 A.M. at West Pensacola Baptist Church with Pastor Laddie Pierce officiating, Interment will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Covenant Hospice, 5041 North 12th Avenue, Pensacola, Florida 32504 or West Pensacola Baptist Church, 5213 W Jackson Street, Pensacola, Florida 32506.Oak Lawn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
