WILLIAMS, Elizabeth Margaret Nee: Ellwood Elizabeth (Elsie) was born was born March 13th, 1910 at Mearns, AB. She was the third in line among two brothers and three sisters who have all predeceased her. She married Jim Williams in 1927 and they farmed in the Onoway area for many years, raising three sons and two daughters. After Jim passed on, Elsie moved to St. Albert in 1980 and lived in St. Albert for the remainder of her life except for the last few months at Westlock Continuing Care. Elsie was dedicated to her family and an active volunteer in many organizations. She was the matriarch of her family and a friend and guide to all her many grand and great-grandchildren. Elsie is survived by her son Harold (Kathy) Williams of Darwell, AB, her two daughters; Ada Dozarec of Edson, AB and Irene (Don) Johnston of Westlock, AB, her 14 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas James (Jim) Williams, and her two sons; Gordon Williams and Leonard Williams. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, May 26th, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Albert Catholic Church 7 St. Vital Avenue, St. Albert, Alberta with Father Andrew Stendzina officiating.
