Elizabeth T. Betty Wilson, 78 LIMERICK-- Elizabeth T. Betty Wilson, 78, of Silver Lane died July 8, 2006, at her home after a long and courageous battle with lung cancer. She was born October 11, 1927, in Waltham, Mass., a daughter of Sanford and Nora Lawless Tebeau. After graduating from Weston High School, Betty received her degree in Nursing from Cooley Dickinson School of Nursing. She was very proud of serving as a Nursing Cadet during World War 2. In October, 1948, she married Fred S. Wilson Jr. They resided in Sudbury, Mass., for 27 years where they raised five children. Betty had a long and distinguished career at Emerson Hospital in Concord, Mass., first as a labor and delivery nurse, then moving up to evening supervisor, and finally as Head of Nursing. Betty and Fred moved to Limerick, in 1979, into the log cabin they built on Lake Arrowhead. She continued nursing by working with the Limerick Rescue. She became known as the baby lady for all her emergency deliveries. She was very active in community and civic organizations. A long time member of the Limerick Research Club, she was it's most recent president. Under her leadership, the entrance pillars to the Highland Cemetery Annex were constructed. She was also a founding member of the Limerick Red Hat Ladies Society. She is predeceased by her husband Fred her parents; her brother Joseph Tebeau; and an infant son, Stephen. She is survived by her five children: Carol (Peter) Zimmerman; Joyce (Ali) Beyranevant; Fred S. Wilson III (Marcy); Sanford E. Wilson (Martha); and Robin (Paul) Athanas; eight grandchildren: Matthew and Michael Beyranevant; Benjamin Wilson; Katherine Wilson Gooding; Colin Zimmerman; Jennifer Athanas; and Sara and Luke Wilson; and one great-granddaughter, Isabella Zimmerman. Visiting Hours will be Monday, July 10, from 6-8 p.m., at the York Funeral Chapel, 71 Maple Street, Cornish. A funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, July 11, at 9:30 a.m., at St. Matthew's Church in Limerick.
