Elizabeth R. "Betty" (Wegner) Smith, age 67, of Brookline Station, Mo., passed away Thursday, August 31, 2006, at St. John's Regional Health Center in Springfield, Mo. She was born May 8, 1939, in Moorehead, Minn., the daughter of Otto and Bessie (Rensolvt) Wegner. She is survived by her husband, Spencer Smith, of the home; one daughter, Kim Smith of Fairfield, Conn.; and one son, Steven Smith, of Torrington, Wyo. A private family service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by Walnut Lawn Funeral Home LTD, 2001 W. Walnut Lawn St., Springfield, Mo.
