NEWTON, Elizabeth ""Bessie"" (nee Legeer) A lifetime resident of Vancouver, passed away suddenly but peacefully on Saturday, July 10, 2010. She was predeceased by her loving husband Les in 2001, and is survived by her daughter Shelagh Newton, son Kerry and daughter-in-law Lorayne Newton, daughter Norah Chidester, grand-daughters Kimberly, Marisa and Twila Newton, grandsons Morgan (Jenn) Newton and Bryce Chidester, great-grandson Sam Newton, brother Ron Legeer, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was involved in many community activities and groups at WPGUC where she was an active member and volunteer for many years. Bessie made friends everywhere and touched many lives and will be greatly missed by all. In lieu of flowers, a contribution to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
