MILLER _ Elizabeth "Betty" Margaret It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Elizabeth "Betty" Miller. Betty passed away peacefully, Thursday, March 15, 2007 in Sydney, NS after a five-year battle with cancer. She was a beautiful person who will be dearly missed by her family and her friends. Betty was born in Sydney, NS on October 31, 1938. She moved to Calgary with her husband Les where she spent many happy years with her family and friends. She worked at the Holy Cross Hospital until it was closed and then transferred to the Rockyview Hospital. Six years ago she retired from there. Last year she decided to return to her home town of Sydney to live out the last days of her life. Betty leaves behind her daughter Joanne and son-in-law Robert Birce of Calgary/Puerto Morelos. She was predeceased by her husband Leslie Miller. She also leaves behind a large number of brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews across Canada. A Memorial Service and tea will be held for Betty at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 18, 2007 at St. Gerard's Parish, 8944 Elbow Drive S.W., Calgary, Alberta. Donations may be made to National Ovarian Cancer Association or Palliative Care Service, Sydney, NS.
