MURPHY, ELIZABETH MARY, of Winter Park, passed away Monday, May 1, 2006 at the Mayflower Retirement Center. Mrs. Murphy was born February 18, 1916 in Winchendon, MA to the late John H. and Elizabeth M. (Flaherty) Sullivan. She moved to Central Florida in 1966. Mrs. Murphy was a homemaker and a member of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. She was a graduate of Murdock High School, Winchendon, MA and Bay Path College in Springfield, MA. She was a resident of Winter Park for 40 years. She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Captain John J. Murphy (retired). She is also preceded in death by brother, James Sullivan, sister, Rita Fitzpatrick and her nephews, John and James Fitzpatrick. Mrs. Murphy is survived by her sister, Margaret Larsen of Port St. Lucie; niece, Mary F. Fitzpatrick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, May 5, 2006 at 11AM in the Chapel of Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church with Father Derk Schudde as celebrant. Interment will follow at the Calvary Cemetery in Winchendon, MA. Visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, May 5, 2006 from 9-10AM at the funeral home.
