Elizabeth was an avid gardener, and loved to bake. She taught ceramics for many years, and was a member of the Steinbach United Church. She was employed for a few years at Steinbach Bethesda Hospital, and as a Home Care giver. The biggest joy in Elizabeth’s life was her love for her grandchildren. She will be sadly missed. Surviving are her husband, Stewart; two sons, Kevin and wife, Tanis, of Winnipeg, Man., and Robert and wife, Jody, of Leaf Rapids, Man.; and three daughters, Cheryl and husband, Cliff Hagen, and Tammi and husband, Don Foster, all of Emo, Ont., and Norine and husband, Kyle Vogt, of New Bothwell, Man. If friends so desire, in memoriam donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice. In tears we saw you sinking. We watched you fade away. You suffered much in silence. You fought so hard to stay. You faced your task with courage. Your spirit did not bend. But you still kept on fighting, Until the very end. God saw you getting tired. When a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around you, And whispered, “Come to Me.” You didn’t deserve what you went through So He took you home to rest. God’s garden must be beautiful For He only takes the best.
