MOORE Elizabeth Margaret (Betty), born in Grenfell, Saskatchewan, June 8, 1942, passed away early Friday morning, August 6, 2004 of respiratory failure. Betty was the fourth of seven children born to James and Edith Moore. She has lived in Victoria for the past 50 years, many years at the Gorge Hospital and lately at Aberdeen Hospital on Hillside. Although Betty lived most of her life in medical care, she rarely complained and sought to be of aid to others around her, she loved to volunteer. Betty, predeceased by brother Patrick (1987), is survived by three sisters, Blanche (Jack) of Comox, Barbara (Del) of Victoria and Beverly (Paul) of Penticton, as well as two brothers, Jim (Jean) of Mill Bay and Michael of Duncan. Aunt Betty delighted in all of the achievements of her many loved (great) nieces and nephews. The family is deeply grateful to the caring staffs of both the Gorge and Aberdeen hospitals who gave Betty much joy and recreation. Heartfelt thanks is extended to the good people at the Royal Jubilee Hospital Respiratory Care Unit, to Dr. Michael Greenwood and to Dr. Bruce Sanders for their exceptional kindness shown to Betty over the countless years. Betty especially enjoyed her many lastingfriendships with the members of the Victoria Foursquare Church. Betty's immeasurable sense of humour and strengths will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Now, released from the hardships that life dealt her, Betty is at peace at last. A memorial tea for family and friends will be announced.
