DOYLE Elizabeth M. (Betty) Doyle, age 89, of Trumbull, formerly of Rome, N.Y., died Sunday, February 16, 2003, at Lord Chamberlain Nursing Home, Stratford, after a long illness. She was born July 23, 1913 in Rome, N.Y., the daughter of Daniel W. and Helen LaTour Heaney. Betty was a graduate os St. Aloysius Academy. On September 28, 1937 she married Edgar A. Doyle Sr. in St. Peter’s Church. He died July 19, 1977. While in Rome, Mrs. Doyle was a member of St. Paul’s Church and it’s Altar and Rosary Society. Surviving are two daughters and Sons-in-law, Colleen and Ronald Cosentino of Stowe, Ma. and Barbara and George Crandall of Trumbull; three sons and daughters-in-law, Edgar and Martha Doyle, Jr. of Rome, N.Y., James and Donna Doyle of Nashua, N.H., and Robert and Mary Lourdes Doyle of Utica, N.Y.; 17 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a grandson, Brian Doyle. Funeral services will be held Saturday at Nunn and Harper Funeral Home Inc. Rome, N.Y., at 9:45 a.m. and at St. Peter’s Church at 10 A.m. Interment in St. Peter’s Cemetery.
