JORDAN Elizabeth Libby Wells Jordan, born February 27, 1925 in Wirt County, West Virginia to Frances and Anna Wells, passed away on November 5, 2012. Married Lloyd A. Jordan on Nov. 27, 1943 prior to his leaving for action in WWll. They were married 69 years as true soul mates . She moved to Jacksonville, FL in 1948 where she raised her family and proudly served the Lord at Lake Shore, Orange Park and Keystone United Methodist Churches during her lifetime. She served on many mission projects in Jacksonville, Orange Park and Keystone Hgts. but will mostly be remembered as the bag lady . She made children s activity bags stocked with crayons and school supplies for more than 500 children. They were sent globally to children in need of a book bag. Sewing was her true gift in her mission s efforts. Serving the Lord, enjoying family, friends and travel were her greatest joys in life. She is survived by her sons, John D. Jordan (Karen) of Jacksonville, Jim L. Jordan (Carol) of Middleburg; her daughter, Julia J. Carson (Chris) of Keystone Heights; grandchildren, Tricia and Michael Jordan, Kelly Jordan, Whitney Carson Harper (Greg) and Christian L. Carson (Meg); great grandchildren, Zane and Eva Harper; numerous nieces and nephews and many other loving family members and friends. Libby is remembered as a loving wife and mother who was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, 11:00 AM at JACKSONVILLE MEMORY GARDENS, 111 Blanding Blvd., Orange Park, FL. A memorial service in celebration of her life will be held at Keystone United Methodist Church, 4004 State Rd. 21 South, Keystone Heights at 2PM following the funeral service with Pastors Dr. Craig Moore and Dr. Tom Farmer, Jr., officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial donations to Keystone United Methodist Church C/O the above address. Please sign the guest book at www.jacksonvillememorygardens.com
