MILLINOCKET - Elizabeth Leone (Bubar) Gould passed on from life on Earth Thursday, Oct. 20, 2011. She was born Oct. 18, 1955, in Millinocket, daughter of Linwood and Beverly (Gray) Bubar of Millinocket. Her family was her life. Beth loved them immensely and took every opportunity to let them know it by her affectionate sarcasm, humor and sharp wit. She was a devoted Yankees fan, a bona fide computer geek and a true "Trekkie." Her talents extended to intricate hand works, cooking and an avid passion for reading. Beth had recently developed a strong interest in genealogy and established extensive data of her families history. Beth was a graduate of Stearns High School. She worked many years as an administrative assistant in the medical field. She was then employed by Amherst College Development Office as database manager for 20 years. She continued her career in her home state of Maine at the University of Maine Foundation, Orono. Her relocation back to Millinocket was a great blessing in her life as it provided two wonderful years for frequent visits with Chip and Andrea, to delight in her special friendship with her sister, and to share precious time with her parents - a treasured gift for them. Beth was a lifelong member of St. Andrews Parish of the Episcopal Church, Millinocket. She is survived by her parents; her son, Asher "Chip" Gould and Andrea Lee of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; her sister, Ellen Manzo and her husband, Richard, of Blue Hill; her brothers, Linwood Bubar Jr. and his wife, Margaret, of Woodbury, N.J., Brian Bubar and his wife, Theresa, of Freeport and Kenneth Bubar and his wife, Karen, of Elkton, Md.; and 18 nieces and nephews whom she showered with love and bodacious hugs. She was predeceased by the love of her life, John Jorge. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 24, at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 40 Highland Ave., Millinocket, with the Rev. Robert Ficks, pastor, presider. Gifts in memory of Beth may be sent to Millinocket Memorial Library, 5 Maine Ave., Millinocket, ME 04462. Messages of condolence may be expressed at www.lamsonfh.com.
