Funeral services for Elizabeth Mims Lee, 86, will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2008, at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. The Rev. Scott Petry will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery directed by Brown-Pennington-Atkins Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Monday, January 28, 2008, from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, Box 56, Lydia, SC 29079. Mrs. Lee, widow of Henry Dickson Lee, died Sunday, January 27, 2008. Born in Cartersville, S.C., she was a daughter of the late Charles and Maggie Hill Mims. She was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church and served 17 years as a Darlington County Magistrate. She and her husband were owners and operators of Lee's Farm Supply and Lydia Grain Store. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Charles F. and Lynn Lee of Lydia, S.C.; daughter and son-in-law, Dixie Lee and Cary Beckwith of Greenville, S.C.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Charlotte and Herbert King Jr. of Lydia, S.C., Grace and E.W. Jordan of Pensacola, Fla.; brothers and sisters-in-law, Joe and Nan Mims, Charles and Doris Mims, all of Darlington, S.C.; grandchildren, Cary Beckwith IV of Philadelphia, Pa., Ann Beckwith of Washington, D.C., Hank Lee III of Hartsville, S.C., Chris Lee of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Brandon Lee of Dalby, Queensland, Australia. She was preceded in death by her son, Henry "Hank" Lee; brothers, Gary Mims and Dwight Mims; sisters, Margaret Johnson, Eunice McFarland Jordan, Jeanette Mims; caregiver, Edna Addison.www.bpafuneralhome.com
