LEA-WILSON, Elizabeth Vera Born: August 14, 1910 Went home to her Lord: January 29, 2011 It is with deepest regret that the family of Elizabeth Vera Lea-Wilson announce her passing with her children at her side. This occurred very peacefully at the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton. She is survived by her sons Mervin (Pam) of Red Deer, Donald (Sue) of Calgary and her son-in-law Franklin Loehde of Edmonton, as well as her seven grandchildren Jason Loehde, Diana Arends, Laureen Mackey, Cory Lea-Wilson, Brett Lea-Wilson, Colin Lea-Wilson and Amanda Aiken and seven great-grandchildren. In addition there are numerous nieces and nephews. Vera was predeceased by her loving husband of sixty-two years Robert (Bob) Charles Lea-Wilson, her daughter Audrey Loehde and her three sisters and brothers-in-law. Vera was born on August 14, 1910 in the Blackfoot, Alberta area and grew up and lived there until she married Bob and they homesteaded in the Beaver River district northwest of St. Paul, Alberta where Audrey and Mervin were born. In 1949 they relocated to Edmonton where Donald was added to the family. Vera resided most recently in the Pleasantview Senior's Lodge where she celebrated her 100th birthday on August 14th, 2010 with many family and friends in attendance. A Celebration of Vera's Life will be held on Saturday, February 5 at Emmanuel Community Church, 6505 - 140 Avenue, Edmonton at 12 Noon. The family wishes to express their heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Carlson and the amazing medical staff for the wonderful care Vera received while in hospital in unit 5A4.
