Elizabeth-Jean Jordan, née en 1928, conjointe de John Jordan, fille de J et Ellen-B, mère de Betty, John, Janet, Jeffrey et Jan', est décédée.
Elizabeth (Betty) Jean (nee Huber) Jordan, of Pennsville, New Jersey, was called home to heaven on July 14, 2012 after a hard-fought battle against cancer. Betty was born on June 18, 1928 in Camden, New Jersey to J. Davis and Ellen Bodine Huber. The second of three children, Betty grew up on her father's farm in Pedricktown. On May 22, 1948, Betty married the love of her life, John Jordan, of Penns Grove. After living a few years in Pedricktown, they moved to Pennsville in 1953 to raise their three children, John, Janet and Jeffrey. Betty was an accomplished musician. She served as the pianist for Park Bible Baptist Church for 57 years. During those years, Betty treasured playing Jesus Loves Me for the children in Sunday School as much as she enjoyed accompanying soloists, groups and others who participated in the worship services of the church. Betty also shared her musical gifts with many others, accompanying the Deepwater Elementary School choral groups and her brother's quartet-Higher Ground. Betty believed that her highest and best calling was to be a faithful wife and mother. She was devoted to her family. As that family grew to include grandchildren and great grandchildren, she enjoyed nothing more than to have everyone together to share holiday meals and birthday parties on the porch. Betty is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, John Jordan; her children and their spouses, John and Lois Jordan (Pilesgrove), Janet and Jud Lamos (Ghent, Belgium), and Jeffrey and Susanne Jordan (Mountlake Terrace, Washington); grandchildren, Michael (Jill) Jordan, Daniel (Laura) Jordan, Aldis Matthew Lamos, Elizabeth (Aaron) Siirila, Erin (Evan) Sparks, Evan (Trisha) Lamos, Christopher (Kristie) Jordan, Joshua Jordan and Brianna Jordan; great grandchildren, Grace, Jack, Lydia, Lucy and Alice; and her brother and sister-in-law, William and Emma Huber (Columbus, New Jersey). Betty was predeceased by her parents, J. Davis and Ellen B. Huber, and a sister, Dorothy Mae. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until noon, on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at Park Bible Baptist Church, 95 Sparks Avenue, Pennsville, New Jersey. A funeral service will follow at noon with interment at the First Baptist Church of Pedricktown cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Ladies Missionary Society, c/o Naomi Fogg, 47 Quaker Road, Pennsville, New Jersey 08070 or to Enterprise Women (daughter Jan's ministry) at Mission to the World (Attn: Enterprise Women, #98210), P.O.
