Elizabeth Jane Betty Phillips formerly of ElmiraElizabeth Jane Betty Phillips, 75, formerly of 375 Baty St., Elmira, passed away Sunday, May 19, 2002 at St. Joseph's Hospital. Elizabeth was born March 1, 1927 in Binghamton, N.Y. a daughter of the late Frank and Regina (Toolan) Fisher. Elizabeth was married to the late Leonard H. Buster Phillips. She was employed as Supervisor of Central Services at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center prior to retirement. She attended St. Mary's Church Southside and will be remembered by her devoted love and time she spent with her family. Survivors include her children, Leonard H. (Eileen) Phillips, III, Harrisonburg, Va., Regina Reggie (Bart) Cavanaugh, Horseheads, Therese Collins, Elmira; and son-in-law, Mike Collins, Elmira, Doris Regan, Horseheads; a sister, Roseann Lewis, Binghamton; three sisters-in-law, Helen Fisher, Binghamton, Virginia (Al) Malinowski, Binghamton, Carol Pudgie Phillips, Hillcrest, N.Y.; grandchildren, Michael Collins, Mary K. (Joel) Bruner, Amy Cavanaugh, Tom Cavanaugh, Jackie Collins, Dan Cavanaugh, Paul Regan, Kathryn Cavanaugh, Jane Phillips, Brian Regan, Sean Regan, Leonard Phillips, IV; great-grandchildren, Andrew Collins and Mackenna Bruner; several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to call 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2002 at the James D. Barrett Funeral Home. A prayer service will be held there 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, May 22, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church Southside. Interment will follow in St. Peter and Paul's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are directed to the Arnot Ogden Medical Center in her memory.
