Elizabeth "Betty" Harrison Johnson, 96, of Ewing Township, passed away Friday, Oct. 15, 2010, at St. Joseph's Skilled Nursing Center, Lawrenceville. Born in Trenton, she was a lifelong area resident. She was a graduate of Trenton High School and Trenton State College. She was a former secretary of the Alumni Association of Trenton State College. She had formerly taught in elementary schools in Trenton. She was past president of the Parkway School PTA and also president of the Ewing High School PTA. She was a life member of the New Jersey Congress of Parents and Teachers. She was a former member of the Ewing Township Board of Education, and a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church and church choir.Daughter of the late George W. and Margaret Boll Harrison, wife of the late Charles M. Johnson, mother of the late Joanne J. Malloy, grandmother of the late Beth Lynn Malloy and Jennifer Robin Malloy, and sister of the late Vergil H. Bailey, she is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Beth and John Hansbury of Titusville, Jill and Larry Johns of Sarasota Fla.; seven grandchildren, Vincent and Brian Malloy, John G. Jr., Jeffrey N, and James C. Hansbury, Kristen E. and David J. Le Schander; eight great-grandchildren, a sister-in-law, and several nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday (Oct. 20) at the Covenant Presbyterian Church, 471 Parkway Ave., Trenton, with the Rev. Nancy Schluter, Associate Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the Ewing Church Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until time of service at the church on Wednesday.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christine's Hope for Kids Foundation, 731 Alexander Road, Suite 203, Princeton, NJ 08540.
