Elizabeth E. (Betty) Williamsof Endwell, N.Y.Elizabeth E. (Betty) Williams of Endwell, N.Y., our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 26, 2004. She was born on June 15, 1912, in Tyrone, Pa. Elizabeth will join her husband, Urban L. Williams; and her parents, Amos and Clara Holtzhinger. Mother is survived by her daughter, Ann Hujar and son-in-law, Richard; her son, Glenn Williams and daughter-in-law, Carole; grandchildren, Susan Phelps, Patrice Cortese, Timothy Williams, Daniel Williams, Debra Zarzycki, David Hujar and Mark Hujar; sister, Lucille Fullmer; 13 great-grandchildren; and nephews, Robert Dawson, Jack Dawson, Richard Dawson, and Donald Williams. Our Mother will be deeply missed. She was a graduate of Wilkesbarre General Hospital School of Nursing, did private duty nursing at Ideal Hospital, and later worked for Dr. Donald Stack for many years. She was an active choir member at the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Endicott, and an accomplished tournament bridge player. Betty and Urban were married for over 57 years. The family cannot adequately express our appreciation for the wonderful care given to our mother by all the staff at the James G. Johnson Memorial Nursing Home in Johnson City.Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 29, at 10 a.m. from the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 121 Madison Ave., Endicott, with the Rev. Paul Griffiths, pastor of her church, officiating. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park Cemetery, Vestal. The family will receive friends at the Allen Memorial Home, 511-513 E. Main St., Endicott, Tuesday, December 28, from 5 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in Betty's memory may be made to the First Christian Church General Fund, or to Hospice at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, 169 Riverside Drive, Binghamton, N.Y. 13905.
