DOYLE, Elizabeth 'Betty' (nee Reid) 88 years, peacefully, on October 22, 2006 at Duncan, B.C. Longtime resident of Tecumseh. Beloved wife of 54 years to the late Edward 'Ed' (1995). Loving mother of Bill and wife Mary, of Brownstown, MI.; Ann and husband Larry Dugal, of Tecumseh; Tim and wife Donna, of Balmertown, Ont.; Pat and wife Lesley, of Victoria, B.C. Mike and wife Cindy, of A'burg; Peggy and husband Gary Belanger, of Lake Cowichan, B.C. Dear daughter of the late John and Kathleen Reid (nee Tiernan). Dear 'Nana' of Tim, John, Patrick, Dawn, Anderson, Bradley and wife Lisa, Melanie and Curtis Turner, John and wife Michelle, Leah and Antoine Hebert, Steve; Cathy and Husband Jason Baker, Chris, Scarlett, Kelly, Ryan, Nicholas Belanger, Kenille Belanger, Cru Belanger, Dear 'Big Nana' to 11 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of the late Margaret Petch and Bob Petch. Dear aunt of Gail and Ron Ellingwood, Ginny and Dr. Frank Monforton, Jim and Anne Petch. Betty was a founding member of the Tecumseh Golden Age Club, was a former President of the Catholic Women's League and was an active member in numerous community endeavours. Visiting Thursday, from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m., Friday, from 2:00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. C.W.L. prayers Friday at 3:00 pm. and parish prayers Friday at 7:30 p.m. The funeral will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2006 at 9:30 a.m. from The Marcotte Funeral Home and Chapel, 12105 Tecumseh Road, Tecumseh (519-735-2830) to St. Anne Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Fr. Robert Couture will be the celebrant. Interment at St. Anne Cemetery. As your expression of sympathy, a donation to the Heart and Stroke Fund would be appreciated. A tree will be planted in memory of Betty Doyle in the Marcotte Heritage Forest. A dedication service will be held on September 30, 2007. All are welcome.
