Elizabeth-Denny Adams, née en 1926, conjointe de John-L. Adams, mère de Brian L et Va, est décédée le 10 septembre 2005 à l'âge de 79 ans.
-> Elizabeth Denny Adams, 79, of Savannah, died September 10, 2005 at Hospice Savannah, Inc. She was born August 27, 1926 in Savannah to Leon A. Denny, Sr. and Gladys Williams Denny, who preceded her. She attended the Savannah Public Schools, where she was an Honor Student and graduated from the Savannah High School, Class of '44. She then attended Armstrong Junior College in Savannah where she was also outstanding student and was Editor of the Yearbook then known as the "Geechie". She met her husband, John L. Adams, after his return from WWII. After their marriage in 1949, they lived in Atlanta where she received her PHT Degree (Putting Husband Through) Emory. After Emory they lived in several different places and she was instrumental in making friends and a happy wonderful home life. After Mr. Adams retired from the FBI, and a second career, they returned to Savannah in 1994 as the always said they would. While living in Springfield, Illinois, she was befriended by the wife of an older agent and decided then she would always be a friend to the wives of younger agents who were away from home and possibly lonely. In this manner she was not only being of service to others but she made many new friends. On being assigned to Philadelphia, and being an avid collector, she was able to find many of the things she always loved, mainly furniture, crystal, china, dolls, and teddy bears. Once again her outgoing friendly manner endeared her to many of the Antique Dealers in Montgomery Bucks and Berks County, PA. On being assigned to Washington in 1971 and living in Fairfax County, VA, she became affiliated with the Questors, an Antique Study Group and served a term as President of the Lord Fairfax Chapter and became known for her expertise on collecting fine memorabilia. She and her husband traveled extensively throughout the United States and enjoyed being together. They celebrated their fifty-sixth anniversary on September 3, 2005. She is survived by her husband, John L. Adams of Savannah, one son, Brian L. Adams of Arlington, VA, brother, Leon A. Denny, Jr. of Coral Gables, FL, aunt, Mrs. Bernard Williams of Savannah and many cousins. Visitation: 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 14, 2005, at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
