JONES, Elizabeth "Betty Ann" CurranAge 60 of Nashville, died Tuesday, April 23rd, 2013. She was born to the late Patrick and Ann Curran, November 2, 1952 in Nashville, TN. Betty Ann graduated high school from St. Bernard in 1971. Betty Ann was a lifelong lover of children. For the majority of her working career, she served children through various positions at Kinder-Care, Wee-Care, and finally at Covenant Presbyterian Church. Simply put, Betty Ann gave her life away to others. She was blessed with the spiritual gift of service. She shared that gift with her family and friends by loving them in times of joy, but especially in times of need. Whether it be watching their children, buying them clothes, attending ball games, or baking one of her world famous chess pies or caramel cakes, she enjoyed making people happy and making them feel loved. Although she was passionate about serving all children, her true passion was being Nana to her three grandchildren. She adored them. She provided countless hours of baby-sitting and attended every school function, ball game, dance recital possible. She was the model of unconditional love. Betty is survived by one child: Tony Jones (Kristen), and three grandchildren, Mallory, Courtney and Jeremiah Jones of Franklin. She is also survived by seven brothers and sisters, Pat Curran (Debbie), Rosie Ryman, Karen Timmons (Steve), Hailey Curran, Gina Moore, Tina Holt, Cathy Potter (Pat). She was preceded in death by her younger brother, Michael Curran. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews, and their children whom she deeply loved. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital. A visitation will be held from 5 - 8 p.m. Thursday, April 25th at Marshall Donnelly Combs Funeral Home.
