October 4, 2003 Mrs. Elizabeth "Betty" Clement, age 73, of Carrollton, GA, died at Tanner Medical Center very unexpectedly. She had just recently moved to Carrollton to be closer to her family. She was born in Montour Falls, NY and moved to Syracuse in 1936. She was a graduate of North H.S. Betty was a very well-known Restauranteur before moving to Vero Beach, FL in 1993. She was the owner of the Trivet House Restaurant in Liverpool, NY for several years. She was President of the Central New York Restaurant Association from 1986 to 1987 and also served on the New York State Restaurant Association Board from 1987 to 1992. She is survived by her two daughters, Mikie Downs of Carrollton, GA and Karen Doucette of Baldwinsville, NY; their spouses; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery in Dewitt on Saturday, October 18, at 10 a.m. Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel of Carrollton has charge of the arrangements.
