BARTOW -- Mrs. Elizabeth Clay of Bartow died of heart failure Saturday (Aug. 17, 2002) at home. She was 59.Born in McRae, Ga., on Feb. 24, 1943, she came to Bartow 41 years ago. She was a medical assistant at Bartow Medical Clinic. She was a member of St. John Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a member of the choir and the Deaconess Board.Mrs. Clay is survived by her husband, Charles Clay; daughters, Angela Clay, Phyllis Clay, Ashley Clay, all of Bartow; son, Theophous Clay, Auburndale; sisters, Vidonia Scott, Louvenia Johnson, both of Orlando, Ester McRae, Inez Jackson, both of New Jersey, Ruby Bolds, Philadelphia; brothers, Lovett McRae, Matthew McRae, both of Orlando, Johnny McRae, McRae.Visitation will be from 6 to 8 this evening at St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Bartow. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church, Bartow. Williams Funeral Home, Bartow.
