Service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Friendship Baptist Church for Mrs. Elizabeth Chancellor Huntley, 88, Radcliff, Ky., who died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2007. The Rev. A.A. Scales will officiate. Burial in Lincoln Hill Cemetery. Watson & Sons Funeral Home is in charge.Mrs. Chancellor (Huntley) was a native and resident of Gadsden most of her life. She was a member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church where she served as an usher, Sunday school teacher and member of Circle No. 2. Before retiring, she was an employee of Westbrook Christian Academy.She was preceded in death by her parents, Lovie Ann Gilbert and Josephus Huntley; son, Robert Lewis Chancellor Sr.; two grandsons, Donald Chancellor and Bill Owens; and 19 brothers and sisters.She is survived by Willie Joe (Rosa) Chancellor, Ratcliff, Ky., Margie Chancellor, Clint Chancellor, Joseph (Kay) Chancellor, all of Akron, Ohio; two sisters, Josephine Duereson, Dayton, Ohio, and Bessie M. Pearson, Gadsden; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Visitation will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the church prior to services.
