Elizabeth Carter, 78 of DeLand passed away on May 20, 2011 at her residence. She was born in Baxley, Georgia on October 2, 1932. Elizabeth was retired from Sherwood Medical Center. She loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her son Alton Carter of Orlando; daughters Debra Walker and Gail Carter, both of DeLand; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held Tuesday, May 24 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at the Allen-Summerhill Memorial Chapel in DeLand with a funeral service following at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at DeLand Memorial Gardens.
