Elizabeth McDonald Carpenter, 91, formerly of North Main Street, Simpsonville, widow of Paul Marshall Carpenter, died Monday, June 23, 2003, at Laurel Baye Healthcare Center of Greenville. She was born in Marietta, Ga., and was the daughter of the late John H. and Alice Boatner McDonald.Mrs. Carpenter graduated from the Medical College of South Carolina and was a retired nurse from Cryovac. She was a member of Simpsonville United Methodist Church.She is survived by three nieces, Martha Austell, and her husband, Bill, of Greenville, Frances Kelley, of Seneca, and Sara Carroll, of Greenwood.Private graveside services were held. - The Mackey Mortuary, Century Drive.
