Elizabeth C. Wilson, 94FAIRFIELD - (Helen) Elizabeth Caldwell Wilson of Fairfield, died peacefully on Jan. 15, 2015, in her winter home in North Fort Myers, Fla. She was born on Aug. 14, 1920, in Skowhegan, the only child of Warren and Marion (Johnson) Caldwell. Elizabeth graduated from Madison High School in 1938. She graduated from Westbrook College, Portland in 1941, and UMaine - Orono in 1942, with a B.S. in Education. She taught commercial subjects at Norway and Farmington high schools. On Aug. 2, 1945, she married Raymond Wilson, also of Madison. They lived in Brewer, Waterville, and Fairfield as they raised five children.Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband, Raymond, in 1993; and a son, Larry (Fairfield & Portland) in 2006. She is survived by four children: one son, David (Susan) of Boothbay, three daughters, Susan Gilliam of New Haven, Conn., Beverly Musolf (Dale) of Fowlerville, Mich., and Jane Bickford (Dan) of Fairfield. She is also survived by six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and her dear companion, Louis N. Violette.She was treasurer of both Kennebec Equipment Rental and Kennebec Drilling and Blasting, companies founded by Raymond and Elizabeth, where she ran the accounting department at K.E.R. for over 50 years. During their retirement, she and her husband founded Kennebec Lapidary and enjoyed it immensely.Besides spending time with her family, Elizabeth enjoyed playing bridge, traveling with family and rental friends and raising horses with her daughters. Elizabeth was a co-pageant coordinator for the Miss Rodeo Maine and Junior Miss Rodeo Maine pageants for many years. Elizabeth's family will be having a celebration of life this summer, on August 2, at her home in Fairfield, on what would be Elizabeth and Raymond's 70th wedding anniversary.
