Mrs. Elizabeth Barrett Johnson, 87, Centre, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2008, in Cherokee Health & Rehab Centre.Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. today at Cherokee Memory Gardens with the Rev. Bill Gandy officiating. There will be no visitation. Perry Funeral Home directing.Mrs. Johnson was a native of Birmingham, the daughter of the late Henry and Bert Barrett. She was member of Centre First United Methodist Church and was retired from VA-DO Fabrics, Inc. with 45 years service.Survivors include, son and daughter-in-law, Claude Henry and Belyinda Johnson, Centre; grandchildren, Jamey (Stacy) Johnson, Centre, and Julie Johnson (Jake) Graves, Centre; and great-grandchildren, Logan Balandrin, Carmen Jenkins, Jacob Graves and Claudia Graves.She was preceded in death by her husband, Hal Johnson.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Centre, First United Methodist Church or Cherokee Health and Rehab Center's activity department.
