JACKSON, ELIZABETH B., 95, of Louisville, passed away Monday, January 30, 2012 at the Episcopal Church Home. Born on July 24, 1916 to the late John and Elizabeth Riegling Mader, Elizabeth was an avid homemaker and loving mother. She was a member of St. Martha Catholic Church and a long time member of the German American Club. Preceding her in death, other than her parents, was her husband, Curtis W. Jackson; a sister, Helen E. Head and a grandson, Leland C. Jackson. Survivors include two daughters, Elizabeth A. Viers and Sharron L. Leahy (Mike); a son, Curtis J. Jackson (Rayner) as well as nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Episcopal Church Home for the love, care and compassion shown Elizabeth during her three years as a resident there. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Thursday, February 2, 2012 at Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home Chapel, 3800 Bardstown Road, with visitation 2-8 p.m. Wednesday. Cremation will occur following the service in accordance with her wishes. Donations may be made to the Episcopal Church Home, 7504 Westport Road, Louisville 40222 or to Mass of the Air in her memory.
