Elizabeth Leutner Adams, 87, passed away Saturday, October 3, 2009. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, October 11, 2009, at Praise Church in Leesville, S.C. with interment in Little Stevens Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Edgefield, S.C. conducted by Rev. Tom Mims. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, October 10, 2009, at Milton Shealy Funeral Home in Batesburg-Leesville, S.C. Mrs. Adams was born in Germany daughter of the late Karl J. Leutner and Emilie Fritz Leutner. She was a member of St. Andrews Baptist Church in Columbia, S.C. She was the widow of the late James W. Adams. She had worked as a teacher assistant for Overbrook Elementary School in Greenville, S.C. Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law, James G. Adams and wife, Cheri, of Houston, Texas, Joseph H. Adams and wife, Kristi, of Lebanon, Tenn., and Douglas S. Adams of Taylors, S.C.; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda Adams Steele and husband, John, of Chapin, S.C., and Esther Adams Mims and husband, Tom, of Leesville, S.C.; 10 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Karl R. Leutner; and a sister, Emilie Leutner Rosales. Milton Shealy Funeral Home of Batesburg-Leesville, S.C. is assisting the family with arrangements.
