Elise V. Goodwin, 98, of St. Augustine, died Sunday, Sept. 3, 2006 at home with her family. She was a native of Hightstown, N.J. Elise attended New Jersey College of Women (Rutgers University) receiving a B.A. in Music. In June 1934 she married G. Palmer Goodwin and they resided in St. Augustine since 1986. Mrs. Goodwin is preceded in death by her husband. She was a devoted worshipper of the One true God Jehovah and a zealous Christian Evangelizer since 1952, lovingly ministering to her neighbors in Rutherford, N.J., Point Pleasant, N.J. and St. Augustine.She is survived by her sons, Neil Goodwin and wife, Betty, of Wallkill, N.Y., Tom Goodwin and wife Judy, of Cape Cod, Mass.; daughter, Elise G. McGee and husband Murray, of St. Augustine; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, 2006 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses on Kings Estate Road. Watts Funeral Home, San Mateo, is in charge of the arrangements.
