Eleanor Hoffmann Williams, 94, widow of John Richard Williams, died Wednesday, February 21, 2007, at Hawthorne Inn. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late John and Eleanor Lahusen Hoffmann. Mrs. Williams was a homemaker, and was a member of John Knox Presbyterian Church. She had 11,000 hours of volunteer service at Broward General Hospital in Florida. Surviving are two daughters and a son-in-law, Mary Price of Greenville and Barbara and Rod Gerwe of Durham, N.C.; five grandchildren, Cathy McDowell, Robert Price, David Gerwe, Beth Gregory, and Caroline Gerwe; and six great-grandchildren, Carson McDowell, Taylor McDowell, Peter Gregory, Leslie Gregory, Ann Sophia Gerwe and Alexandra Gerwe. She was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters. Memorials may be made to Open Arms Hospice, 414-A Pettigru Street, Greenville, SC 29601.
