TOWNSEND -- Eleanor (Avery) Walton, 87, of 66 Dudley Road, formerly of 78 Beech Street, Belmont, died Tuesday, Feb. 7, at Nashoba Valley Medical Center, Ayer. She was born in Watertown on April 20, 1918, the daughter of Abraham and Rachael (Wilkinson) Avery and resided many years in Belmont before moving to Townsend 10 years ago. She attended the Belmont schools before continuing her education at the Banford Academy in Boston where she studied cosmetology. For over 40 years, she worked as a beautician at several locations including Filenes Department Store in Boston, Gilchrest, Grover Cronin in Waltham and the Commander Hotel in Harvard Square. Mrs. Walton is survived by a son, Stanley K. Walton and wife Elizabeth of Townsend; two brothers, Walter Avery of North Adams and Clifford Avery of Lake Placid, Fla.; two sisters, Doris Clancy of Watertown and Evelyn Fallon of Lake Placid, Fla.; a granddaughter, Rebecca Bray of Leominster; and two great-grandchildren, Ethan and Kylie Bray. She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley K. Walton, Sr., in 1996. WALTON -- On Feb. 7, Eleanor (Avery) Walton, 87, of Townsend. Funeral services will be at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Belmont Cemetery, Belmont. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. The T.J.
