Eleanor P. HaleEleanor P. Hale, 93, longtime Tallahassee resident, died Tuesday, June 19th, 2012.A celebration of her life will be at 2 p.m. EDT, Saturday, in the Maguire Center at Westminster Oaks. In lieu of flowers, memorial contibutions may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 1086, Tallahassee, FL 32302, or to Westminster Retirement Communities Foundation, 449 Meandering Way, Tallahassee, FL 32308. Eleanor grew up in Brooklyn, N.Y., graduated from Brooklyn College, and worked with the Girl Scouts of America, before marrying Gifford, the love of her life. They had 63 wonderful years together, raising four daughters, and sharing many adventures.Eleanor had many friends through her passions for tennis, bridge, her church, travel, and her many volunteer hours with Meals on Wheels, TMH, FSU International Students, and other organizations.Eleanor and Giff enjoyed many years of traveling the world together and spending their summers in North Georgia. We'd like to thank the staff and all her many wonderful friends at Westminster Oaks for making her last years such happy ones.Eleanor will be remembered as a woman who lived life to the fullest, right to the end.Survivors include four daughters, Susan Fortin (and Mike) of Arlingto, TX, Diane Hale (and Charlie) and Nancy Hale (and Nash) both of Jacksonville, and Joanne Lazar (and Dan) of Asheville, N.C.; and two granddauhters, Jennifer Fortin (and Matt) of Salt Lake City and Diana Fortin (and Todd) of Carrollton, TX.
