Groton - Eleanor L. (Latham) Johnson, 83, of Noank, passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at Fairview in Groton.Born in New London, she was the daughter of the late Everett and Meta (Petrick) Latham and lived in Manchester for most of her working years.She was employed for many years with Travelers Insurance Co., until her retirement.She is survived by her brother, Richard Latham and his wife, Joan, of Noank; nephew, Mark Latham of Mystic and his family; and a niece, Johanna Paradis of Old Mystic and her family.Eleanor was predeceased by her husband, Edward Johnson in 1966.A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 28, at Noank Baptist Church, 18 Cathedral Heights. Burial will be private at the family's convenience.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Noank Baptist Church, 18 Cathedral Heights, Noank, CT 06340.
